| What
does G.R.A.C.E stand for?
Gratitude, Responsibility, Acceptance, Compassion, and Expression
What
is it?
G.R.A.C.E: Empowerment Camps For Girls are
events designed to teach young girls to build a strong
sense of self and what it means to have choice
and take responsibility
for one's self.
Each event is
hands-on, creative, and experiential - where each girl will be challenged
in a compassionate yet assertive way. They will learn and practice
how to accept themselves and accept
others.
What
is the format?
The format varies - based on the needs of your group. You can choose
from our menu to create your own G.R.A.C.E.
Empowerment event - ranging from one - four hours. This will depend
on the size and age range of your group.
We require a
minimum of eight girls per group. There are some times exceptions
made for the size of the group, and the time range.
What
is the curriculum?
The curriculum
for each age group is based on their physical, mental, and emotional
development. Activities are designed specifically to touch upon
the challenges that usually come with that growth period.
Each age group will learn and practice the concepts of G.R.A.C.E*
using holistic exercises in the mind and body.
Where
is it located?
We bring the group to you - to the location of your choice. We do
have a small room available that can fit 12-15 girls.
Are
there age requirements?
The minimum
age we will work with is seven. It is at this age where studies
have shown the brain to be completely developed.

Will
the G.R.A.C.E. Empowerment Camps be helpful?
THE
ANSWER IS ALWAYS YES. It
is amazing to have an opportunity to learn at a younger age about
Gratitude, Responsibility, Acceptance, Compassion, and Expression.
G.R.A.C.E.
is empowering for a girl who:
- Has moments where she feels insecure
- Has challenges interacting socially
- Expresses doubt in herself
- Has any body issues
- Compares herself to other girls
- Is starting to show an interest in boys
- Puts herself down
- Is challenged in standing up for herself
- Is challenged in communication
- Has any anger issues
- Finds it hard to know what she wants and needs, and
- Is challenged in expressing her thoughts, feelings, wants, and/or
needs
Also,
specifically for Age 10-15:
-
Is beginning puberty or pre-pubescent
-
Is starting to want to talk about and/or experience more "mature"
things: like boys, sex, parties, etc.
-
Is starting to rebel against authority - parents, teachers, rules,
laws, etc
